Cooked spareribs

Baked spareribs - very tasty! The coleslaw is cabbage, pineapple chunks, balsamic vinegar (honey ginger from Monadnock Oil & Vinegar), a dash of red pepper flakes plus salt & pepper to taste.

SPARERIBS

Baked pork ribs from Joy of Cooking
optional: marinate from 1 hour to overnight in
  • 1 ½ cups yellow mustard
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup cider vinegar
  • ½ cup sugar (or to taste – I left it out)
  • 2 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T black pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder

Spareribs: pat dry, preheat oven to 325 degrees put ribs on baking sheets, cover with foil
optional: set on top of slices of onion

  • bake 1 ½ hours
  • cover with sauce (above) or any barbeque sauce
  • bake uncovered for another hour, until tender, basting twice
  • cover with foil and let sit for 15 min before serving
